Good base knowledge of technology and an ability to explain it clearly to clients.

Sales experience with companies requiring IT and phone service.
Established network of business requiring IT and phone service.
Experience working in a small company environment (under 50 employees).
Experience working for a Managed Services Provider and/or telecommunications provider.
Position Requirements & Description:
Successfully sell and develop business for IT Mindshare based upon established criteria from the Director of Sales and achieve agreed upon sales targets and quotas within a defined schedule.
Informs and assists customers regarding technical and specialized merchandise; demonstrates use upon request.
Identifies need for materials and merchandise; identifies criteria and selects vendor to procure specific merchandise meeting identified criteria, such as price, quality, quantity, and delivery date, and places orders.
Plans special promotions; coordinates advertising, procurement of specialized merchandise, staff scheduling, and event marketing.
Interviews vendor representatives to develop new sources of technical supplies, securing favorable terms.
Totals prices and tax on merchandise selected; calculates discounts when appropriate.
Compiles and tracks sales data for evaluation.
Generates and keeps track of sales leads.
Fill in for both junior and senior level team members as the need arises.
The Sales Specialist will be primarily dedicated to the sales team and be responsible for sales and account development for IT Mindshare. The Sales Specialist performs activities associated with selling, ordering, and overall account management dealing with specialized merchandise that requires knowledge of a unique and/or specialized nature. These activities include researching and utilizing knowledge of technical products that are appropriate to their specific and/or unique needs. The Sales Specialist reports directly to the Director of Sales and will work closely with the operations and finance team as well.
